I signed the membership and paid dues, but I haven't received a new member email yet. What do I do?

We are so glad to hear you're joining the F2K Family! We're sorry for the delay in receiving your email, but we currently do not have our enrollment process automated. Please allow 1-2 days to receive your email, and make sure to check your spam/junk inboxes in case our email was sent there!

If you still haven't received your email, DM @ugafood2kids with your email and we will send it to you ASAP.

What days can I volunteer?

With numerous volunteer opportunities, you're sure to find something to fit into your schedule! Mobile pantries vary by dates and times and can fall on any day of the week, including weekends. On-site bagging events take place every Monday from 3:15-5:15PM. We also have Thursday bag deliveries for driving meal bags to the local schools.

Where do events take place?

Volunteer events happen in numerous places. Bagging events and bag deliveries take place on-site at the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia. Mobile pantries take place at various locations, almost all within 15 minutes of the university.

Fundraising and social events will also take place throughout the year at different local restaurants around Athens. Stay tuned for more updates on those!

Does F2K track my volunteer hours?

Yes! This is a new feature of your membership that we have added this year. If you want your hours to be tracked, fill out our Volunteer Tracking Form after EACH volunteer event.

You may request your number of hours at any time of the year.

What fundraising events happen during the year?

We hold 2-3 percentage nights each month. At these events, we partner with a local restaurant to raise money. A percentage of your order will be donated towards Food2Kids (percentages will vary by restaurant).

We will also be holding big fundraising events: a benefit concert among others! These events are a great way to have fun with friends AND raise money for an amazing cause. Stay tuned for more updates on these events!

Is there a GroupMe for F2K?

Yes! Once you become a member (fill out our form and pay dues), we will send you an email that includes the GroupMe link and the sign up links for the month.

I am part of a different UGA organization and want to partner with F2K. How would I do that?

We LOVE working with other UGA clubs and organizations that want to give back to our community. We have several different options to choose from including reserving a mobile pantry/bagging for your members, hosting a mini food drive, signing stationary cards to go into the weekend bags, or raising $275 to feed a kid for a year!
